As you can see in the chart below, installations of GpsSpeedTalker are growing faster and faster.

Many users experience some problems using the app on a Samsung Galaxy running Android 2.2.
The problem is caused by Samsung’s modifications to the Android’s GPS code.
Unfortunately there is nothing the app can do about that but some users reported that it helps to toggle the internal GPS (on/off or off/on) before starting the btgps service.

On Lake de Biel, Switzerland
This is actually position one on the swiss surfbasar speed challenge 2010

The wind was very gusty, but strong. The temperatures where arctic with 3 grad ceslius.
Once again, the GPS speed talker really helped me to reach this superspeed!

The board i used was an F2 SX S 90l from 2007, bought on www.surfbasar.com for euro 280.- including the original fin that i used today.
The sail is a Severne CodeRed 6.8qm from 2007 which I also bought on www.surfbasar.com for euro 280.-.
The mast is a 460er Arrows 100% carbon wave mast , bought on www.surfbasar.com for euro 100..
The mastfoot is a North Shox XTR purchased at Bisenoire.ch (Thanks for the great service and prompt warranty exchange!)

Today i made my first testdrive with GPS Speed Talker V2.
I placed 3 android phones in front of my car together with a Locosys BGT-31 as a reference.

The phones:

1. Samsung Galaxy I9000 (Froyo 2.2)
2. HTC Desire
3. Sony-Ericsson Expedia X10

Conclusion

All phones are working very well with GPS Speed Talker. The results are all close! Topspeed was on all drives in a range between 1 km/h. Not bad.
None of the phones showed a higher top speed than the Locosys-BGT31
