GPS Speed Talker is an Android Application that always speaks the current speed (in your language) and works like a GPS speed logger with tracking functionality.
Just go to the Google Android Market and search for GPS Speed Talker.

Install the program and follow the instructions after the start. The only thing you need is an Android phone.
Use the GpsSpeedTalker stand alone with the internal GPS (no internet needed!) of your mobile phone:

Why GPS Speed Talker
Say you’re in an activity that requires your full attention. Do you have time to look at the display of your GPS device? No!
With the GPS Speed Talker you do not need to look at the display, it always speaks to you the current speed!
Options
- Data Logger Functions (log your track)

- Define Talk Range (e.g.: speak only between 20 and 100 km/h)

android handies kriegst du übrigens schon für sehr wenig geld. wenn du’s nur für den gps speed talker benutzt brauchst du nicht mal eine simcard drin!

I installed your application to track my speed when kayaking. It is great but I would like to be able to get speed with decimals etc. but it only gives it to me in mph. Is there any way I can enable it to be precise to 2 decimal places?

in the next version i will add an option to define how exact the speaker would talk. You can define the spteps. For example: 0.5 or 0.1 or 0.11. If you choose 01, the talker will speak all 0.1 steps like 25.1 25.2 25.3 25.1…
where can i find portuguese language?
gpsspeedtalker is only translated in english an german.
but it speaks the speed in the language of your phone settings.
normally android asks to download or activate a “text to voice” engine.
if not just install one from the android market!
